It was less than 3 months ago that I wrote a mostly humorous blog about an article I had read about Louisiana. In it, I couldn’t help but mention that I would not want to live on the coast of Louisiana, because it was a disaster waiting to happen. As I write this, they are as close as they have ever been to seeing their worst fears realized. They basically need a miracle at this point. A miracle that it misses or a bigger miracle that the results will be less than devastating. Because of hurricane threats, New Orleans is the worst location possible for a big city. Below sea level and surrounded by water. Hopefully people will not attempt to ride this one out and will heed the warnings. The property damage will be astronomical if this thing is anything near a direct hit. Flooding is the big threat because of their vulnerability. But when talking a category 5 hurricane, catastrophic damage is possible no matter where it hits. Natural disasters can happen anywhere, but I can’t help but wonder why so many people would choose to live in a place that, for all intents and purposes has a hurricane bullseye on it.

Here we go again. Media lynch mob mentality. String up the Christian. Now listen, we have Senators, Congressmen and even an ex Vice President saying things against our own President and Military that many deem to be treasonous. So what does the media decide to report on? A Reverend who says we should take out a foreign leader who wants to do Americans harm. Elected officials who rally terrorists instead of American troops are patriotic to the liberal media. Pat Robertson is not even an elected official.

To the dismay of the liberal media, Pat Robertson will go on as always with the support of millions. This will baffle the extreme left because they still don’t understand America. Pat Robertson has a following that will not be thrown off by yet another media smokescreen. He is a good man who has helped countless people. He says what he thinks. He is not guided by the polls, unlike most of our elected officials. His resume is far more impressive than anyone in the liberal media. Most people who buy into the media smear campaigns have no idea of the good things he has done. There is a reason they attack him. Not because he is part of the extreme right wing that they like to refer to. He is actually much closer to the heart of America. He is a spokesman for Christianity. This is a Christian nation, like it or not. See, liberals can’t be honest and say they hate the Bible. Instead they try to rewrite it. It’s hypocrisy at it’s worst. Why can’t they just be honest? Pat Robertson did not write the Bible. Attacking him does not change the Bible. Be honest. Like this… “I don’t believe in the religion of Islam. From what I know about it, I do not like it.” See, that wasn’t so hard. In my own words. I’m not going to say I’m a Muslim and then twist or pick the religion apart and say that God didn’t mean for this part to make the Koran or that part… I think that if God made the universe, what’s in His Book is what is supposed to be in there. If I don’t like it, I’m simply not buying. But the extreme left cannot tell the truth. They believe they can destroy Christianity by twisting it. Good luck with that. The thing you are destroying is your own country.

Meanwhile, many would rather shoot a messenger of God than a terrorist. You don’t have to believe the message, but you should respect his right to convey it. This story will fade away soon enough. It will go away because it won’t hold up the ratings and will not achieve the objective. To silence Pat Robertson. It wasn’t that long ago that the media thought they had rid the world of Rush Limbaugh. For saying that Donovan McNabb was overrated by the media. That made him a racist. He survived. He later survived another media assault. That one was because years ago he had become addicted to prescription pain killers after a failed back operation. Another nice try. Why is it that all the times these guys are right we don’t hear about it in the media? You only hear if they are wrong. Then the media usually has to take it out of context and distort it. It’s amazing what they decide you should know about. And what you shouldn’t.

I guess the unbiased media knows which missing person stories are important and which ones aren’t.

China continues to gobble up the world’s oil supply to feed it’s military machine and to assault the United States economy. Wait, did I say that? I mean, to fuel it’s own growing economy. Yeah, that’s it. China must have noble intentions. After all, we are only their sworn worst enemy. This time it’s an oil company of our “friends” to the north. You remember Canada, don’t you? First, they sell out the sanctity of marriage and now they “sell out” to communist China.

Meanwhile, back at home, liberals still don’t want to drill for oil in an oil rich, remote area of Alaska. But that’s OK because we have all that oil in Iraq, right? Remember, that’s why we went over there. So the evil Mr. Bush could steal their oil. You do remember the liberals crying about that? So gas isn’t really rising in price. We have an abundant supply. So let’s continue to ignore China’s oil takeovers just like we ignore their human rights violations. After all, we have terrorist’s rights to worry about… It all makes sense now. :crazy:

Israel has a long history of “darkest days”. Amazingly this one coincides with many of them and what is considered the “darkest day” on the Jewish calender. Thousands of innocent people have been ripped from their homes. Homes that some have lived in for decades. Think about that. Thrown out of the home you lived in for 30 years. The reason? Appeasement to terrorists. The belief that bloodthirsty Muslim fanatical terrorists won’t kill the innocent if you force thousands of Jewish people from their homes. Meanwhile as they are forced from their homes, terrorists threaten complete destruction of Israel and the Jews. It is heartbreaking and appalling. The Palestinians are a terrorist state. Look at who they chose to be at the helm all these many years. Yasser Arafat. He’d still be there now if he were alive. But suddenly they are nice people? Even though their children have been raised and brainwashed to hate and kill Jews, they are ready for peace?

What Israel has done is backed themselves further into a corner. And given the terrorists a seaport to bring in weapons that will be used against them. It is insanity. When will people learn from history? We are talking recent history here. Sadly, Israel could have eliminated all their enemies if they were an aggressive nation. They have been given plenty of reasons to do so. Now they are negotiating with terrorists. Sworn enemies of Israel who have stated time and again that the complete elimination of the Jews is their goal. They are raised from small children to hate and kill Jews. Do you think they are going to suddenly love the Jews? We can’t even eliminate racism in this country. How do you stop it with people who have been trained to hate? It’s just not enough anymore to be the toughest kid on the block. You need to be quick to go after those who are aiming to kill you. If they strike you first, you might not live to fight another day. Chemical, biological and nuclear weapons are in the hands of those who want America and Israel destroyed. Not to mention a host of “smaller” weapons that can kill hundreds. It’s not the time to trust murderers.

The media keeps repeating how the Jewish people received their eviction notices. I have heard it many times. I got it the first time. It is the subtle language that says they shouldn’t be there. They were evicted. Forget the fact that they did nothing wrong and those are their homes. When Israel would bulldoze a house harboring known terrorists, the media was there showing the mothers of murderers crying. The naive are led to believe that the oppressed are the oppressors. We are supposed to have sympathy for terrorists. After all, they didn’t get their eviction notices. It’s insane. I feel like Hitler is alive and well. He would be loving the anti-semitism that exists in the world today. He would love the American media.

The mainstream media as always is in on the deception. I saw a video of what the seaport will look like, teaming with commerce and recreation. Sailboats and jet skis. First of all, these are Muslims, right? I don’t think they are supposed to have that kind of fun, are they? I’m not sure they are supposed to have any fun but I guess that is beside the point. Let’s use some common sense. If you see hundreds of surfing jet skiing Muslims, you can believe there is nothing amiss if you want. Sorry, I’m not buying it. You know what that seaport will be used for. And commerce? What commerce? What do terrorists produce? Turbans? They are busy making weapons to kill Jews and Americans. There is a reason the Palestinians are so poor, beside the fact that Yasser Arafat was a thief. They have chosen to spend their money and time fighting a peaceful foe they had no chance of defeating. Their philosophy has not changed. This is what they are saying now:

Muhammed Dahlan, Civil Affairs Minister, stood next to Abbas and proclaimed: “…the day of victory and the beginning of a new era that was achieved with the blood of our martyrs.”

Abbas also said, “From here, from this place, our nation and our masses are walking toward the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.”

It amazes me that liberals through their words and beliefs give encouragement to the terrorists. Don’t they realize that if the Jews and Christians were all gone they would be next? What do you think Muslims think of liberals? They hate the culture. Sex drugs and rock and roll? I don’t think so. Abortion? Women don’t have rights. The gay lifestyle? Guess again. The only reason they hate Christians and Jews more is because they stand up and fight. And well, of course because of Jesus. But do you really think that if all that was left were Muslims and liberals that they won’t kill the liberals? Oh, you’ll be a liberal Muslim? Guess what? Bang bang, you’re dead. They are happy to have you help their cause right now, though. Divide the country. Distract. Let the American media spend countless hours on Natalee Holloway coverage and anti-war military mother’s. Meanwhile we are at war with a heartless, gutless enemy that loves killing women and children. Using the abortion issue as a smokescreen while they are quiet as we lose our fundamental constitutional rights. A monkey could do a better job of prioritizing the news than the tabloid media we have.

The fact that this heartbreaking injustice is being done voluntarily by the Israeli government and encouraged by our government makes it all the more disheartening. It shows that Israel has it’s share of liberals, terrorist sympathizers and fools just like America does. Benjamin Netanyahu resigned because he could not be a part of the sellout of the Jews. What are you going to give up to the liberals and terrorists? Don’t you know what you’ve already lost?

This has become such a pathetic thing to observe. Cindy Sheehan is demanding a second meeting with President Bush so she can tell him she knows better how to run the United States of America than he does. After the first meeting, she was quoted by the newspaper in her hometown of Vacaville, Calif., as saying that the President seemed sympathetic. As time passed she said that President Bush treated her callously during their meeting. It’s dirty pool, pure and simple. By all accounts she is an anti-war activist from way back. Publicly using her son’s death in Iraq as her leverage for another meeting is deplorable. Her son died over a year ago. She has now figured out how to capitalize on it. To make matters worse, she has aligned herself with left wing anti-war activists such as Michael Moore, moveon.org and other liberal organizations who will gladly use her to further their own cause. The Washington Post is reporting that Sheehan is working with a political consultant and a team of public relations professionals. Of course the ambulance chasing media eats it all up like they do most anti-America propaganda.

Fortunately, most military families are proud of the military and America. There is a reason why a huge majority in the military vote conservative. They understand the role the military has played in this country and that it’s the reason we are free, or anyone in the world for that matter. You wouldn’t know the military votes conservative if you watch the mainstream media. They can’t run quick enough to a liberal military person or family member. It’s too bad they don’t give the same airtime to the pro freedom members of the armed forces. There are not enough hours in the day to get even a brief word with all the military members and their families who support the war effort. Case in point, Cindy Sheehan’s own family members. Too bad the media doesn’t give equal time to them. Seems even they recognize her for what she is. This is from the letter from members of her family sent to the Reporter newspaper, in Vacaville. It was signed by Casey Sheehan’s aunt Cherie Quartarolo on behalf of his paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins:

“We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the expense of her son’s good name and reputation.”

“The Sheehan family lost our beloved Casey in the Iraq War and we have been silently, respectfully grieving. The rest of the Sheehan family supports the troops, our country and our president, silently, with prayer and respect.”

To use the death of a family member to get your 15 minutes of fame is shameless. She has aligned herself with the extreme left wing nuts and they gladly use her to keep their anti-American rhetoric alive. Some of these guys in these demonstrations have been protesting since Vietnam. They love a good protest and a lifelong buzz. Apparently more than they love a good bath and a change of clothes.

It is not even rational to be this close to finishing the objective in Iraq to pull out now. It would be an injustice to the Iraqi people and their new government as well as those who have fought there in the name of freedom. It is basically just a matter of training the Iraqi people to defend themselves. It is simply going to take some time. We are fighting brutal Godless terrorists. I believe by this time next year there will be a significant reduction in troops over there. It wouldn’t be wise for President Bush to put a date out there but I think it is closer than most people think. By that time we may be involved someplace else, so flower children take heart. We live in the most dangerous of times. We didn’t address the problem years ago and now we deal with it or else. It’s just a sad but simple matter of fact. Now if the tabloid mainstream media would spend less time on a story that is not even newsworthy and more time on stories of national security issues such as the 911 commission coverup, we would all be the better for it. But that story will never get the attention it fully merits because it implicates the Clinton administration.

I just wrote about a week ago how Ted Kennedy didn’t really stand for anything. Then WorldNetDaily posted a story on the 3rd about how he was actually pro-life back at the time of Roe v. Wade. Kennedy wrote: “While the deep concern of a woman bearing an unwanted child merits consideration and sympathy, it is my personal feeling that the legalization of abortion on demand is not in accordance with the value which our civilization places on human life. Wanted or unwanted, I believe that human life, even at its earliest stages, has certain rights which must be recognized - the right to be born, the right to love, the right to grow old.”

What a stark contradiction to this rabid, foaming at the mouth liberal advocate for abortion. Not to mention that he will be grilling the President’s Supreme Court appointee John Roberts over this very issue. He has already gone off the deep end over it (no pun intended). What a hypocrite. Of course, every time he grills someone on possible inappropriate behavior he is a hypocrite. Here was a married United States Senator with a woman in a remote part of Chappaquiddick in the middle of the night. A man who fled the scene while she was trapped in a car under water. A man who did not report the accident until 10 a.m. the following morning, some 10 hours later. When are you going to answer the questions, Mr. Kennedy?

Now I realize Roe v. Wade was a long time ago. But Ted Kennedy was about 40 years old. He seemed to have a pretty thought out opinion on the matter. So why not be more tolerant of other people’s points of view, Mr. Kennedy? Maybe the rest of us just need to get older to see the light like you did. And, well, maybe a bit more pickled.
