Kurt Warner Proves the Liberal Sports Media Wrong… Again.

Saturday, November 15th, 2008

Kurt Warner has proven the liberal sports media wrong yet again.  The sports media in general, such as the ESPN gang, don’t seem to get it right very often. In cases such as Kurt Warner, some seem to have tried to ignore him altogether. The likes of ESPN have revealed their political slant or at the very least their buckling to political correctness.

Remember when ESPN had Rush Limbaugh on there as part of their Sunday NFL Countdown team? Nobody even blinked the day Limbaugh said Donovan McNabb was overrated, but a day or two later they began condemning him for being a racist for such remarks. Since then McNabb has gotten more positive publicity from the liberal gang at ESPN than anyone of his better than average results could ever dream of. That’s not a knock against Donovan McNabb. He is a talented player. Then again, there are a lot of talented players who have been largely ignored, if not undermined by the sports media.

When McNabb had a bad game there was every excuse possible made for him. When Warner would have one they were questioning loudly whether a quarterback change should be made. In Monday night’s game against the Rams, the announcers were very positive for Warner. They praised him and questioned why how he could have been written off so much the last 5 years. Then it was mentioned how he had some trouble holding onto the football at times. Well, when you don’t have pass protection bad things will happen. Warner also has played through some tough injuries. Again, some get the benefit of the doubt and some don’t.

Probably the biggest strike against Kurt Warner has been his faith. You will be hard pressed to see an interview with him that lasts 2 minutes without him crediting God for his success. That is too much faith for the media – even the sports media. When Kurt Warner’s wife complained about his treatment on a radio show, she was ridiculed worse than Sarah Palin for speaking out. Strange how some people can get away with that stuff over and over.

I can’t help but wonder if the relentless pressure from the sports media contributed to his getting benched by 3 different teams in the middle of a prolific career in favor of the “up and coming” quarterback. Isn’t winning still the objective in the NFL? Even in sports, if you beat the drums long and loud enough, it seems those in charge can succumb to the pressure. In the case of Kurt Warner it has been to the detriment of most of those decision makers.

Kurt Warner has had an incredible career. He hasn’t gotten the benefit of the doubt anywhere near what he has deserved. He has 2 MVP’s and a Super Bowl Championship with a team that was given no chance of victory before the season started. He has this year’s team performing far beyond expectations. Those are accomplishments that a lot of great quarterbacks cannot boast of. But what of his numbers?

His numbers are beginning to reach a level that legends are made of. He is dueling Peyton Manning for the 2nd highest NFL passer rating of all-time. He has the highest completion percentage in NFL history. He is 5th on the list of all-time career 300 yard games. In fact, he has hit 300 yards in 45% of his career games. The next closest competitor on that list would be Dan Fouts with28%. Third on that list is Peyton Manning with 26%. Those numbers are beyond impressive. They are staggering.

Even Kurt Warner’s path to the NFL was the hard way. He played college ball for Northern Iowa. Not given a chance by the Green Bay Packers, he was cut. He then played in the Arena football league and in Europe. He even stocked grocery shelves sometime in the middle of that to make ends meet. Instead of being one of the most underrated players in sports history, he should be pointed at again and again as a true American success story. It truly is a legendary run.

I don’t underestimate the media’s ability to keep a good man down, but someday Kurt Warner will be in the Hall of Fame. He has been largely made an invisible man by the sports media, but his impressive accomplishments will simply be too great to ignore forever.

Newt Gingrich: I Would Consider Running For President in 2012!

Tuesday, November 11th, 2008

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich told Sean Hannity on his radio program today that he would consider running for President in 2012. Hannity who had frequently asked the same question of Gingrich in the past in regards to the 2008 Presidential election was surprised by the answer. He was fully expecting him to sidestep the question.

Newt Gingrich said he would give a definitive answer early in 2012. It could be a potentially potent field of Conservatives compared to this year with Sarah Palin not ruling out a run and a host of other good potential candidates. It almost has to be a better field than the Republican party put together this year. Fred Thompson was the probably the closest to a Ronald Reagan than anybody, but never was a serious factor after he entered the race.

I think Newt has been considering a run for a long time and I think it is a matter of how he feels his chances are as well as where his various projects he is involved with are at the time. Wouldn’t it be ironic if the man who led the Republican revolution was the one who led a much needed revolution to bring the minority party and America back to the glory days of Ronald Reagan.

Those Who Ridicule Sarah Palin Fear Her Success

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Sarah Palin is the target of vicious attacks for a reason. It is because she has energized true conservatives who were completely left out of the process of electing a President. The media pushed John McCain like he was the greatest thing since Abe Lincoln in the primaries. Reason: He was far from the Ronald Reagan Conservative they fear so much. The media figured the worst case scenario was that they got the candidate they believed they had the best chance to manipulate.

John McCain is an American hero, but the reality of it all is that he was the least favorite pick amongst Conservatives. Then onto the scene came Sarah Palin. All those Conservatives suddenly saw something that brought them hope. Whether you like her views or not, she actually ran as good a campaign as any Vice Presidential candidate ever has. She certainly was a better speaker with more likable qualities than the highly touted Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton. Joe Biden made historic blunders as Obama’s pick. So what went so wrong that she has been so viciously attacked?

Nothing went wrong, except success. She did a phenomenal job. She was thrust into this race by surprise with no preparation and she delivered right off the bat. She did it with a message that would have made Ronald Reagan proud. Unfortunately in this political climate, that comes with the vicious attacks. The template for liberals is to ridicule and make a caracature of such a person. Make that person self conscious of their every move and get as many superficial people as possible to turn against them. It’s not complicated and it’s sadly become very predictable.

The intensity of vicious attacks in the case of Sarah Palin are mainly because she is so beloved by such a large percentage of people, thus striking fear into the hearts of liberals. No doubt there are some people, who do not want a woman in there as well. There are plenty of attacks from jealous catty women. It is interesting to watch the real nature of some people, including those like Oprah Winfrey. Hypocrisy runs wild and it exposes people like that to those who are paying attention.

There might be a few people on the political scene who might “poll” a little higher, but there is nobody who hits the ball out of the park with so many people as the Alaska Governor. She is somebody for liberals to fear. She is everything Hillary isn’t and she is even everything John McCain isn’t.

My fear is that the efforts to hurt her and her family will succeed enough to make her not want to be a candidate in 2012. She is someone who is not afraid to call out the media and speak up for her beliefs. I believe she was restrained by the McCain campaign. McCain has a lot of that political correctness thing going on. It probably cost him the Presidency. Without Sarah Palin, it probably wouldn’t have even been a race.

Sarah Palin will be doing an interview next week with Greta Van Susteren. We will see where she is at right now. She has to be shell shocked from the attacks from liberals, the biased media, and even some sore losers in the McCain camp. With all due respect to John McCain – Picking Sarah Palin was the smartest thing he did in this campaign, even though he was unable to come up with the victory.

Russia and Israel Already Doubting Barack Obama’s Courage

Friday, November 7th, 2008

Russian President Dmitry Medvedev threatened to base warheads along the Polish border if Barack Obama goes ahead with the U.S. plan to create a missile shield in Eastern Europe. Obviously this plan has put fear in the leaders of Russia for a long time. Unless they have plans to attack, they should not fear such a DEFENSE system. Backing off of this plan would be turning our backs on our allies. Will Barack Obama show the courage of a man who will not be backed down by threats from the Russian bully?

Israeli foreign minister Tzipi Livni is concerned that shifting from strength to dialog with Iran could be conceived as weakness. When asked if they supported any U.S. talks with Iran she said: “The answer is no.” Israel has reason to be concerned over a Barack Obama Presidency after Iran’s President Ahmadinejad sent congratulations to Obama and with Obama saying in the past that he would talk with Ahmadinejad without any preconditions. Iran has long been known for it’s support of terrorism and is working on it’s nuclear program. Ahmadinejad, a holocaust denier has threatened to wipe Israel off the face of the map.

If Obama’s cabinet shapes up the way everyone has been predicting, it will be a cabinet with plenty of pacifists. It does not have a look of strength when it comes to dealing with foreign threats. Time will tell on that one. The wolves are at the door of our allies. Will they be greeted by a strong United States of America led by President Barack Obama or by a naive sheep mascarading as a leader?

Will America and its allies be as well protected as Barack Obama?

Will America and it's allies be as well protected as Barack Obama?

Deceptive Media Election Results Coverage Rivals Acorn Voter Fraud

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

This was the most corrupt media coverage of an election in history. The networks, including FOX News were totally in the tank for Barack Obama in the way these races were called. Race after race was called for Obama before any actual voting results were even announced. Many of those states wound up being much closer than all the states they held off on calling for John McCain.

John McCain held about a 20 point lead all night in Georgia, and as of this writing holds a 12 point lead there with 92% of the vote in. Race still not called. It took 70% of the vote in McCain’s home state for them to call that for him. Did anyone think he would lose that? The media wanted to be cautious, but only when it came to John McCain.

They called Ohio, a crucial state and one that was considered close – before any voting results came in. As of this writing Obama only leads Ohio by 1.5 points with 72% of the vote in. It took them about 15% of the vote to call Texas for John McCain. There was no way Barack Obama was going to win Texas and as of right now McCain leads there by over 10 percent with over 80% in. This was the case all night long…

Why does it matter? It matters because this affects voters in states that are still voting. People are much more likely to go to the trouble to go out and vote when they think their candidate is going to win than if they are depressed because the vermin in the media are telling them their candidate can’t win. We have seen it in the last 2 elections. The debacle of George Bush vs Al Gore in Florida and the botched calls didn’t stop them from doing it again.

I don’t know what would have happened if it weren’t for these deceptive and deceitful actions. I think with the fraudulent coverage, along with the mass voter fraud that we know has taken place, that this election was likely stolen by the media and ACORN. I think the media and pollsters making people believe for more than a month that Obama had a lead of about 8% probably cost John McCain another couple points at the real polls. It looks like the actual vote is going to be about half that margin. You know damn well that many people stayed home because they were deceived and dispirited because of those polls that were relentlessly pushed on them thanks to media bias. It’s just human nature.

If you think this is exclusive to the Presidential elections you would be wrong. The bias mainstream media has gotten good at swaying public opinion. Gone are the days when facts and honesty matters. Because of party allegiance, they only need to brainwash a small segment of society to get their man into office.

The only thing we can hope for in the case of Barack Obama is that the media’s puppet turns out to be his own man. Wouldn’t that be true justice…

Massachusetts Voters Say Yes to Marijuana and Reject Free Taxes?

Wednesday, November 5th, 2008

Massachusetts voters said yes to marijuana and Rejected free taxes. What were they smoking? Oh yeah… They said yes to pot, but made dog racing a crime. I think the only enjoyment they want there is that which is in their own minds.

To reject free taxes by an overwhelming margin? What world do we live in where people want to give away their hard earned money to the government? I remember not that long ago that everybody complained about high taxes. That was before the evil George Bush gave everyone a tax break. Now Massachusetts voters would prefer high taxes – as long as they can be high at the same time.

They would prefer people lose jobs than to have dogs run around in a circle for 20 seconds. If the dogs could talk they would even say these people are nuts. Big dogs like these do not want to be couped up in someone’s living room. Then again, in Massachusetts they forget about their love of running and enjoy chilling out to 2nd hand marijuana smoke. I’m sure they won’t make that illegal.

Now marijuana might not be any worse than alcohol. That is debatable, but you are supporting drug dealers over anheuser busch in this case. It is more difficult for law enforcement to handle pot in regards to driving while under the influence and so on. I think we might all need to be high to survive a Barack Obama Presidency.

Final Presidential Election Poll Numbers and Observations

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Not the numbers I was hoping to report, but the final blogchow.com odds have Barack Obama +7.3. The real clear politics numbers that everyone uses has it listed as Barack Obama +7.5 as of this posting. My numbers were much closer to theirs than I was expecting, given that I had it closer in the other figures I came up with. That being said, I don’t think anyone knows how this is gonna turn out. If it hits 7.5 percent for Obama it would be more coincidence than probability, given these polls fluctuate wildly from day to day without any apparent reason. They have been wrong so many times…

Many of the crucial states are much closer than the national averages, so the possibility exists of a popular majority for Obama losing out to an electoral college victory for John McCain. The only way that will happen is for a better turnout for John McCain than Obama and the majority of undecideds breaking his way as well. That really is the purpose of the poll manipulations that go on with the media and the pollsters – to discourage the Conservative vote. It has been the same way in the past several elections. They try to make it a self fulfilling prophecy. Unfortunately, we live in a country where people want to be seen as backing a winner, whether it be a sports team or presidential candidate. I think it’s a sad but true observation that about 25% of the population are more like sheep than people. The mainstream media targets that group relentlessly, for in a close election they can make all the difference.

The election isn’t about who wins and loses, it’s about having a safe and prosperous nation. If you are willing to ignore all the signs – then I say it is between you and God. I do not pretend to know what utter lazy ignorance is in the eyes of God, but it seems to me the God of the Bible frowns on it. Living in ignorant bliss appears to be a form of early death to me, but again, that is just my own observation. If you vote for who you truly believe deep down will be the best person to secure a safe and prosperous nation then you have done all you can do. If there is a just God in heaven then you have done your part. If you vote for someone based on how smooth a character they are or how they look and you are willing to gamble the future of your loved ones and country, then you risk an awful lot.
