Final Presidential Election Poll Numbers and Observations

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008

Not the numbers I was hoping to report, but the final blogchow.com odds have Barack Obama +7.3. The real clear politics numbers that everyone uses has it listed as Barack Obama +7.5 as of this posting. My numbers were much closer to theirs than I was expecting, given that I had it closer in the other figures I came up with. That being said, I don’t think anyone knows how this is gonna turn out. If it hits 7.5 percent for Obama it would be more coincidence than probability, given these polls fluctuate wildly from day to day without any apparent reason. They have been wrong so many times…

Many of the crucial states are much closer than the national averages, so the possibility exists of a popular majority for Obama losing out to an electoral college victory for John McCain. The only way that will happen is for a better turnout for John McCain than Obama and the majority of undecideds breaking his way as well. That really is the purpose of the poll manipulations that go on with the media and the pollsters - to discourage the Conservative vote. It has been the same way in the past several elections. They try to make it a self fulfilling prophecy. Unfortunately, we live in a country where people want to be seen as backing a winner, whether it be a sports team or presidential candidate. I think it’s a sad but true observation that about 25% of the population are more like sheep than people. The mainstream media targets that group relentlessly, for in a close election they can make all the difference.

The election isn’t about who wins and loses, it’s about having a safe and prosperous nation. If you are willing to ignore all the signs - then I say it is between you and God. I do not pretend to know what utter lazy ignorance is in the eyes of God, but it seems to me the God of the Bible frowns on it. Living in ignorant bliss appears to be a form of early death to me, but again, that is just my own observation. If you vote for who you truly believe deep down will be the best person to secure a safe and prosperous nation then you have done all you can do. If there is a just God in heaven then you have done your part. If you vote for someone based on how smooth a character they are or how they look and you are willing to gamble the future of your loved ones and country, then you risk an awful lot.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Jokes About Obama’s Scrawny Arms and Policies

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger had some classic quotes in regards to Barack Obama and his policies at an Ohio campaign rally. He joked on how Obama’s physique and policies could use some meat. Schwarzenegger also heaped praise onto John McCain and called him a “real-life American hero.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger Presidential Election Quotes:

“I want to invite Senator Obama because he needs to do something about those skinny legs… We’re going to make him do some biceps curls to beef up those scrawny little arms. But if he could only do something about putting some meat on his ideas. Senator McCain on the other hand is built like a rock. His character and his views are solid.”

“John McCain’s character has been tested as no other presidential candidate in the history of this nation. He has spent five and a half years as a prisoner of war. He has been tested under torture, under temptation, under deprivation, under isolation.”

“He has proven what kind of a man he is. We don’t have to wonder if he’s ready to lead. We don’t have to wonder is he’s ready to be president of the United States. John McCain has served his country longer in a POW camp than his opponent has served in the United State Senate.”

My election poll algorithms show the Presidential race is still up for grabs. John McCain has picked up a couple points since last week and has closed to within 3.2 points with just over a week to go.

Some recently discovered tapes of Barack Obama’s may have begun to do some damage as they show a frightening socialist world view, as well as more contradictions. To a smaller degree, the birth certificate controversy may have swung a few voters away from Obama. Despite this sounding like a conspiracy theory, Americans should not have to wonder if a candidate is an American citizen this late in the game. It leaves some citizens feeling disrespected.

This year’s election has the potential to make the polls even more inaccurate than ever. The media/ politically correct pressure to pick someone based solely on race has the potential to add several points into the McCain column, since a percentage of people may simply be saying what they think the pollsters want them to say. Voter turnout could shift it several points in either direction. Could the ACORN voter fraud mess still add substantial votes to Barack Obama?

To top it all off, this figures to be the wildest week of the whole election, with news breaking at a remarkable speed. Say a prayer for our Country.

After 3 days of saying he was rushing to his sick Grandmother’s side, Barack Obama is really off to Hawaii. Oddly, his wife and kids did not accompany him. The rumor mill is running overtime regarding this trip, including suspicions regarding his inability to produce his birth certificate.

As for John McCain, he is still not capitalizing on all of Barack Obama’s dirty laundry. Perhaps he can get a little more mileage out of Joe the Plumber with the news that government computers were used to find dirt on him. Still I think more of Obama’s Ayers, Rezko and ACORN connections may be needed to turn it all the way around…

With the flurry of conflicting Presidential election poll data out there I decided to cut through it to come up with as accurate a number as possible. I use 6 polls that I consider to be the most accurate. I also use a 7th number that is an algorithm I put together to account for internet buzz.

I came up with this system simply to guage what is going on in the Presidential election between Barack Obama and John McCain. It is mechanical and takes my own opinions out. I am not trying to influence opinion. I’ll leave that for the New York Times and the like. I am one person up against the media establishment, so I have no interest in trying to influence opinion with this - only measure it. For that reason I will stick with the algorithms in place. I will not do like the mainstream media and only report the poll(s) that come out in the way they like.

None of the polls out there are extremely reliable or you wouldn’t have 10+ point swings on the same day and they wouldn’t have to do so many if they were accurate. The difference from one poll to the next shows that the “scientific margin of error” is also flawed. We already know from history about that. But the polls can at least give a barometer of what’s going on. It can often show a direction of who has momentum. I believe that if the poll averages are within 4-5 points going into election day that either candidate could win.

Some of these large polls sample, in some cases, as much as twice as many democrats as republicans and don’t use likely voters as a standard. So you can see why these numbers just aren’t accurate. I believe that is intentional, but be that as it may. In my algorithm I adjust for poll size and likely voter status. I will update these numbers going forward every 1-2 days.

Oliver Stone Movie ‘W’ - Majority of the Financing Came From China

Monday, October 6th, 2008

I guess it shouldn’t be a surprise that Hollywood would release a hit piece against a sitting President on the eve of a Presidential election. What I would hope would underscore the depths of Oliver Stone and Hollywood in general is that they could sink so low as to use Chinese funding for it. Even some of Hollywood’s biggest studios would not partake in such a vile and obvious attempt to influence the American public on the eve of an election. Of course the attempt here is to hurt John McCain since Barack Obama and the media have tried to make him out to be “just another” George W. Bush.

Even if it wasn’t an election year, to bash a sitting President with a hit piece full of distortions is low even for Hollywood. That is usually left to The New York Times or CBS Evening News to do. Strange that only a few months ago “Maverick” was very frequently a part of McCain’s title. Not so much anymore. What a coincidence at this time after all these years we find out John McCain really isn’t a maverick…

Oliver Stone is a weasel who strangely likes to do historical movies by rewriting history. Unfortunately he’s had a lot of money to burn over the years and now has the help of some more people who hate America. If you are a patriotic American please stay away from this movie, even if you are not happy with President Bush. There is an agenda here that may seem subtle, but it is there nonetheless and a patriotic American would not want to support it. Let the sheeple flock to see the brainwashing rubbish. Go see something with a dose of humor and patriotism like An American Carol or just save your money. Don’t give it to Oliver Stone. The town drunk would probably be more responsible with your money than this guy.

‘W’ Movie Facts:

  • For the lead role, Oliver Stone took Josh Brolin after another, unidentified actor turned the part down.
  • John Malkovich, William Hurt and Robert Duvall all turned down the chance to play Vice President Dick Cheney.
  • Doris Day wouldn’t give Stone permission to use her recording of “Que Sera, Sera.”
